@jimmacmillan How about you? You asked so here goes...

You ask what I bring to the community struggling with gun violence. Not a lot. But I do shop in the neighborhood, eat, visit friends, greet strangers, drink my coffee, eat my pastry, converse with someone I do not know, offer assistance if asked, live as an example, offer rides to people that are obviously stranded, give jump starts to people who's  car batteries are dead without being asked. And ask for nothing in return other then they do the same for someone else. Because we all know some people have it more difficult then others, not because they are dangerous but because they are profiled. So maybe I do not buy into all the chatter about gun violence or feel that tweeting the number of deaths on a daily basis does anyone any good or that my photographic work makes a great a difference to many people every day. I do my part by not creating a giant divide between myself and those stranded in communities where they feel that they do not have a way out. I am a friend to the world. That is what I give and that is how I give back. How about you?
