The newly completed Sister Cities Park at 18th and Ben Franklin Parkway was officially opened with speech from dignitaries, songs by Friends Select, the public and students from Russell Byers Charter School on Thursday afternoon May 10, 2012. The newly renovated park is meant to be family oriented and kid friendly. There is a new fountain, benches, coffee bar and pond for kids to float wooden boat on. Alejandro A.
