@jimmacmillan You are starting to upset me. But your still my buddy.
@jimmacmillan Jim forgets that quality takes time. The words craftsmanship, quality, attention to detail are not typically used in the same sentence as quickly done, first to the tweet, speculation, half truths, lacking detail. So if people see blurbs on blogs, opinions and speculations as the new journalism, then I feel sorry for all the un-informed and underinformed people walking around. In my opinion newspapers are more important today then ever. When it comes down to facts backed up by solid reporting, the well informed individual will turn to a reliable source. Newspapers have a track record that is hard to beat. They have been a source of for accurate information for hundreds of years. They may play by an old set of rules or standards but then this is what separates someone that has dedicated their life to a profession and a hack.

Video: Riverside Park is at the foot of West Grand Blvd in Detroit.
As a kid we would visit this park with out parents, then as teens with our friends passing the time watching the barges float down river. Some times in the winter we would do foolish things like jumping on the floating pieces of ice. Looking back now this was dangerous. Thankfully no one was ever hurt doing this.
