Another #thenAndNow at the intersection of York and N. Front St. on Thursday morning July 5, 2012 and from a Philadelphia, Department of Records photograph taken on March 17, 1916. At first the historic picture threw me off. The Western Savings Fund Society at far right is still there but the facade is different. Obviously the elevated track is new but once I started to study the details of the building I learned the windows were the same as well as the molding at the top of the building. Looks like they took off the top floor. What used to be a four story building is now a 3 story boarded up shell except for a check cashing business. Alejandro A.
