Photo: Pedestrians walk around center city blind.
Do not ask my why this group of people were walking around the city blindfolded on Wednesday morning. I spotted them as I was rounding city hall so I have not clue. But a bit of investigation gives me a hint as to why this is taking place. Something to do with making the city safer for blind people. Possibly increasing the sound of crossing signs. And studying how quieter cars make it more difficult for blind people to hear these cars. Alejandro A. Alvarez / Philadelphia Daily News / © 2012 Philadelphia Media Network
